A Home from Home – Short Breaks / Respite Services
At Ashgill we have vast experience in respite care, providing you and your carer(s) with the opportunity to have a short break, safe in the knowledge that you will be looked after with the utmost care and attention in a friendly and homely caring environment.
Our aim is to make your stay with us a positive experience, so that you think of us first, next time you’re looking for a short break / respite stay.
What is Respite?
Respite is the traditional term for a short break or holiday. For the carer Respite provides a break from caring responsibilities, an opportunity to catch up on other tasks or even simply to recharge. For the cared-for person they are a positive experience and an opportunity to enjoy a different environment or activity.
What does it cost?
Your Social Worker or Care Manager can advise on the cost, as it is your local council who decide the fees and rates we charge, but it will usually be less than your weekly income.
